About the Opportunities

These roles offer a unique opportunity to work on the pioneering AUKUS Build Program, delivering a critical sovereign capability for Australia. We are seeking two Security Advisors: one within the Security Governance & Assurance team and the other in Operations.

These roles are responsible for assisting with the effective implementation of security arrangements for the ASC Build Integrated Project Team (IPT). They will support the security team by providing operational activities across the scope of ASC and be responsible for the input and execution of budgets related to security matters. Ongoing coordination and advice regarding security compliance which is critical to the success of Build IPT activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of security arrangements for the ASC Build IPT.
  • Support adherence to DISP and implement the Build IPT Security roadmap.
  • Provide operational activities across the scope of ASC.
  • Input and execute budgets related to security matters.
  • Coordinate and advise on security compliance.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and develop an understanding of the Security Classification Categorisation Guide (SCCG).
  • Act as a security specialist and recommend measures to improve security capabilities.

About You:

  • Qualification in Security and/or Risk Management or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Physical, Personnel, Governance, and Information security, particularly in relation to DISP and/or Defence, and experience with compliance, assurance, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience operating security systems in Defence environments.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate complex issues simply and work collaboratively to develop strong cross-functional teams.
  • High level of integrity and resilience.

Eligibility: This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
