About the Opportunity

We have two openings for experienced Project Engineers specialising in facilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, or heavy machinery. These roles involve managing capital procurement and engineering projects from concept to completion at our ASC site in Osborne and will be reporting into the ASC Capital Works Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of our facilities and infrastructure.
  • Providing technical advice to the maintenance team on engineering issues.
  • Managing contractor resources tasked with the delivery of projects.

These positions are full time, permanent, based in Osborne, SA.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret the infrastructure needs of the organisation through communication with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Through design principles, develop scopes of work and technical specifications for infrastructure upgrade and improvement projects.
  • With the procurement department manage the selection of contractors for project delivery.
  • Manage delivery by contractors and perform contractor site inductions, permits to work and ensure contractor conformance to ASC WHS&E policies and external legislative requirements
  • Provide input to the infrastructure planning process.
  • Ensure compliance with any reasonable instruction that is given to you by the Capital Works Manager

Skills & Experiences

  • Engineering Degree qualifications in a Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical stream
  • Proven experience in managing projects in a civil, structural, infustructure, heavy machinery or equipment environment
  • Expertise in providing technical support, project support and project management in respect to the delivery of facilities and infrastructure requirements
  • Experience of delivering infrastructure, facilities, plant and equipment installation or maintenance projects achieving safety, cost, schedule and quality expectations
  • Agility and flexibility to manage changing priorities and unforeseen events
  • Ability and confidence to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple internal and external resources to deliver projects
  • Construction industry experience will be well regarded

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and the ability to obtain a Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identity Card (NSSIC).
