About the Opportunity

Join ASC as a Project Manager and lead the delivery of complex IT projects within scope, budget, and schedule. Reporting to the Head of Architecture, you’ll drive collaboration across business units and guide multidisciplinary teams in areas such as Data & Analytics, Architecture, and Change Management. This pivotal role supports strategic platforms including Collins, Virginia, and AUKUS, enabling critical business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver IT projects within defined scope, cost, quality, and schedule, ensuring alignment with ASC’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resources to achieve successful delivery outcomes.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of ASC to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams including Data & Analytics, Architecture, Business Analysis, Change Management, and Testing.
  • Provide structured progress updates and reporting through established governance frameworks and IT Monthly Reviews.
  • Utilise approved tools and methodologies to ensure consistent, scalable, and compliant project delivery.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative project environment, promoting accountability and high performance.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs, managing ambiguity and shifting priorities while maintaining delivery focus.

About you 

  • Tertiary level qualification in Project Management or Diploma / Bachelor / Master’s / equivalent degree in Computers or Digital Technologies
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering successful projects with proven outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of project management practices and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, supported by strong interpersonal communication.
  • Financially astute with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Highly driven, resilient, and customer-focused with a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and adapt to changing priorities.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
