ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager – Deployments, the Recruitment Coordinator plays a central role in supporting recruitment activities across our deployment programs.

You will join a fast‑paced, dynamic, and highly committed team where no two days are the same. The role is heavily focused on interview scheduling and coordination, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

As a key point of contact in the recruitment process, you will work closely with Candidate Management Advisors, hiring leaders, candidates, and external stakeholders—often across multiple time zones—to deliver a seamless and engaging candidate experience.

In addition to interview coordination, the role supports a range of recruitment administration activities, including maintaining recruitment tracking spreadsheets, supporting candidates through pre‑employment and security checks, and assisting with invoice processing as required.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a high‑volume, high‑impact recruitment environment supporting nationally significant programs.

Skills & Experience

The successful person will possess:

  • Proven ability to deliver outcomes in a high‑volume, fast‑paced recruitment environment
  • Experience coordinating interviews and assessments, including managing competing calendars and time‑zone differences
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment tasks simultaneously
  • Confidence liaising with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
  • Experience in phone screening, interview scheduling, tracking recruitment process compliance, and talent pooling
  • Familiarity with PageUp or a similar Applicant Tracking System
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail
  • A strong customer‑service mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills
