As the Sovereign Submarine Sustainment Partner, ASC will play an incredibly important role to meet the requirements of the first phase of the SSN Optimal Pathway.
As such, we have been provided with an initial opportunity for our workforce to support a series of international deployments to the United States (US).
We have an immediate opportunity for a skilled leader to support ASC employees undertaking world-leading training in Pearl Harbor (Hawaii). The International Training Support Lead - Technical will lead and support a group of Deployment Leads within the Technical and Trade disciplines, whilst providing leadership and guidance to the assignees. The duration of this deployment will be between 18-24 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support to the team in ensuring goals are clearly communicated, understood and codified.
Identify and solve potential risks to the SSN-Sustainment Program and our personnel.
Report directly to the International Training Support Manager and provide support and feedback, to assist ASC management in setting clear and consistent guardrails.
Mentor and guide team members and provide them with the tools and expertise to achieve their professional goals, whilst developing a positive team culture.
Proactively identify processes within the department that would benefit from improvements and recommend the appropriate action.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Operate with a high degree of autonomy in a complex dynamic environment where prescriptive contractual requirements and complex cost allocation exist.
Demonstrating understanding of safety process management within a Shipyard Production environment.
Demonstrated experience in technical training and competency management
Demonstrated understanding of Australian & ISO standards
Demonstrated understanding of Australian trade related Codes of Practice and related governance compliance requirements (ARPANSA, Refrigeration, Welding, NATA and NACE)
At least 3 years’ relevant experience with a strong emphasis on supporting operational delivery within a complex program.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated experience in a leadership / supervisory position
Relevant technical qualifications in a related discipline
