About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Virtual Desktop Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions, with a primary focus on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). You will play a crucial role in supporting and developing our Modern Digital Workplace (MWP) product, ensuring the efficient and secure operation of virtual desktops and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users.
  • Optimize AVD performance and enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new applications or systems with the AVD infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular system performance reviews and apply updates or patches.
  • Document configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss upcoming deployments or improvements.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in virtual desktop infrastructure management, with a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Proficiency with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Microsoft Intune.
  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
