About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Specialist to support the development and execution of warehousing and logistics operations within the SSN AUKUS Build Program. Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, this role plays a key part in bridging strategic planning with on-the-ground operational delivery. You will contribute to establishing efficient, safe, and scalable storage solutions as the program evolves. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a nationally significant defence initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of warehouse processes, layouts, and workflows
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety management systems
• Assist in the establishment and management of short, medium, and long term warehouse and logistics facilities located within the Nuclear Powered Ship Construction Yards (NPSCY), as well as off-site warehouse locations
• Provide operational and technical support to supply chain and logistics activities
• Coordinate warehouse operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance
• Work closely with stakeholders across production and supply chain teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a project-driven environment

About you 

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years experience in complex supply chain environments (Defence, manufacturing, or construction preferred)
• Hands-on experience establishing warehouse facilities, including layout and workflow design
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement, and warehouse operations
• Experience using ERP and Warehouse Management Systems
• Proven ability to develop and implement SOPs and safety procedures
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical actions

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
