About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-focused professional to manage the end-to-end processing of employee expense claims and travel advances. This role will support employees in submitting claims correctly, review claims for accuracy, coding, GST compliance, required approvals and ensure payments are processed in accordance with scheduled payment runs.

This role includes proactively monitoring approvals, minimising outstanding claims, reconciling travel advances, recovering any overpayments and ensuring claims are closed in a timely manner to support accurate financial reporting and invoicing.

This a full-time 6-month opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to employees on the accurate preparation and submission of expense claims
  • Review expense claims for correct coding, GST accuracy, appropriate supporting documentation and required approvals
  • Manage the end-to-end expense and travel advance workflow, monitoring approvals and payment cycles
  • Proactively follow up outstanding claims to minimise delays and backlogs
  • Reconcile travel advances, recover overpayments and finalise claims in a timely manner
  • Prepare month end close reports and reconciliations with a high level of attention to detail
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of all governance and compliance requirements of the ASC Group applicable to the Accounts Team, both directly and indirectly

 

About you 

  • Previous Accounts experience in a Medium to Large organisation is required.
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Sound understanding of expense processing, coding and GST requirements
  • Clear and professional communicator with the ability to reduce rework and unnecessary back‑and‑forth
  • Well organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple claims and deadlines
  • Experience in finance, payroll, or corporate services is highly regarded

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a Baseline level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
