About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Build Readiness, this role will assist in defining, planning, and executing Build Readiness scope and activities in compliance with the Program Master Schedule to achieve milestones.

This role supports the Build Readiness project teams, helping to set performance targets. Key dependencies include interfacing with Build Readiness Integrated Project Team (IPT) to optimise scope and design maturity for PD-related activities.

The Associate Project Manager works with the leadership team to maintain a strategic perspective on the business, addressing long-term issues, opportunities, and risks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with defining, planning, and executing Build Readiness scope and activities in compliance with the Program Master Schedule
  • Ensure capability and workforce development requirements align with program demands and strategies
  • Maintain a strategic perspective on the entire business, addressing long-term issues, opportunities, and risks
  • Support Build Readiness project teams, helping to set direction and performance targets
  • Be prepared for periodic or regular overseas travel

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical, business, or project management discipline, or equivalent experience in a systems engineering or complex asset management/development environment
  • Professional certifications/memberships in Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)
  • Demonstrated experience in a complex project environment at an Associate Project Manager level (or equivalent), with demonstrated success in supporting complex projects or portfolios
  • Understanding of project strategy creation and alignment with organisational goals
  • High-quality writing skills, excellent time management, and organisational skills
  • Practical knowledge of stakeholder and personnel management in a complex project environment
  • Be autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited direction

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
