About the Opportunity 
 

This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. Reporting to the Program Scheduling Manager, this position provides project level schedule planning and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle to the assigned project team(s) by providing detailed expert technical scheduling administration, advice, monitoring and support.


Responsibilities 
 

  • Review, plan and schedule program delivery activities.
  • Supporting the monitor and control of program plans and schedules, for horizontal and vertical alignment.
  • Development and monitoring of project schedules including the identification and verification of all critical path activities
  • Scheduling of activities in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Understanding and documenting the sequence of works, relationships, durations and resource requirements for program delivery activities
  • Ensure integrity of data in the schedule throughout the project life cycle and prepare required reports to provide support to all clients as detailed by the Project Manager.
  • Prepare an efficient Contract Master Schedule and maintain knowledge of all key project milestones and advise the project team of schedule risks to achieving these milestones.


About you  

  • Technical qualification in a relevant Engineering / Project Management or Business Administration discipline or proven ability as a scheduler in a similar environment.
  • Demonstrated scheduling and project planning experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries
  • Experience in developing and maintaining integrated resource loaded project schedules.
  • Experience in creating project schedules which identify time frames and key milestones
  • Experience in delivering program scheduling, collecting and analysing data, and developing and analysing program / project critical paths.
  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6, Excel, Power BI, Power Pivot, SQL, Visualisation software

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.  

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
