About the Opportunity  

This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. The role will report into the Digital Tools – Governance & Support Technologies Manager and will support the business capabilities to deliver the agreed Digital Tool outcomes. The role will be responsible for providing frontline user support for all Digital Tools. To be successful in this role, one must have experience in multi-discipline/multi-domain engineering and design methods, drafting, business systems, procurement, information technology, project management, and legal compliance.   

Responsibilities  

  • Support the sourcing and implementation of Digital Tools to meet the business capability requirements   
  • Guide, facilitate, and provide direction to business capabilities with process development and training to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provide solutions focused support, development, and configuration for multiple commercial and in-house developed digital tools while managing multiple priorities and leveraging available technologies   
  • Provide all levels of user support   
  • Provide Digital Tool SME advice and training to the business capabilities   
  • Continuously improve engineering and design application support processes and procedures   

Please note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis.  

About you 

    • Tertiary degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification   
    • Experience using, supporting, and configuring 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) methods and tools   
    • Experience using, supporting, and configuring multiple engineering, analysis / simulation methods and tools   
    • Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and/or PDM (Product Data Management) methods and tools   
    • Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) methods and tools   
    • Familiarity with enterprise technologies and processes including infrastructure hardware and applications is desirable   
    • Experience with SQL database methods and tools   
    • Experience with scripting / programming languages   

Eligibility  

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
