About the Opportunity

Join ASC in a pivotal leadership role as an Information Lead, we have 2 positions available: Information Mobility Lead and Information Operations Lead. You’ll play a strategic role in embedding a culture of accountability and information stewardship that supports informed decision-making and long-term business success.

A degree of flexibility is required in working hours to support the engagement with international capability partners. This role may also require overseas travel.

The structure for this role is transitional and subject to change aligned to the maturity of partnership arrangements with BAE Systems.

Responsibilities

Mobilisation Lead:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of information governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and program obligations while aligning with organisational strategy.
  • Oversee information lifecycle practices, assurance mechanisms, and compliance reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on governance and compliance, influencing cross-functional alignment.
  • Drive optimisation of information systems and flows for secure, efficient access and usage.
  • Lead capability uplift through targeted training, mentoring, and role clarity initiatives.
  • Work with existing organisation teams as part of IJV with BAE/ASA etc.

Operations Lead:

  • Projects based role, establishing and setting up processes and systems.
  • Manage and optimise information pathways to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable information flow.
  • Provide responsive support to stakeholders for day-to-day information needs and program delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Information Mobilisation Lead to align operational execution with strategic frameworks.
  • Oversee effective use of information systems and workflows, embedding governance principles.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements based on user feedback and operational needs.
  • Lead and mentor the Information Management Officer team to deliver high-quality, responsive services.
  • Ensure compliance with frameworks, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations while proactively addressing operational risks.

 

About you 

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Governance, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in information management, quality controls, or project management OR Proven experience in operational information management, including managing pathways, quality controls, and supporting business processes.
  • Proven ability to manage risk and compliance obligations, ideally within Defence or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise content management systems, data governance tools, or records management platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including building and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams to deliver high-quality, responsive information services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in complex or highly regulated environments (Defence experience desirable).
  • Capability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
