ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. About the Opportunity

Play a key role in shaping Australia’s future by delivering critical infrastructure for the nation’s first nuclear-powered submarine construction yard. Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver functional requirements for site services, ICT, and security.
  • Collaborate on project schedules and assurance activities.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to manage requirements and documentation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate operational needs into infrastructure solutions.
  • Validate infrastructure integration using tools like AutoCAD and DOORS.
  • Prepare technical documentation and support efficient scope delivery.
  • Conduct design reviews and site inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Provide practical technical advice balancing capability, cost, and risk.

About you 

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical)
  • Experience in project engineering / management on complex infrastructure programs
  • Experience working in the industrial manufacturing industry on technical specifications and/or compliance
  • Specific experience within the Defence Shipbuilding Industry will be highly regarded
  • Experience project managing infrastructure/equipment design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and/or commissioning work
  • Experience working within a team of technical personnel in complex and unique industrial environments
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and ‘requirements management’ principles

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
