About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Occupational Hygiene Monitoring Technician to join our Work Health, Safety and Environment team, supporting operations across Adelaide and Perth. Working closely with the Occupational Hygienist and Occupational Hygiene Manager, this role is responsible for conducting workplace environmental monitoring to identify, evaluate and control health hazards that may impact employee wellbeing. The position focuses on field-based monitoring activities, accurate data collection and reporting, and supporting the implementation of effective hazard control measures. The Occupational Hygiene Monitoring Technician plays a critical role in maintaining compliant and safe work environments through collaboration with operational and WHSE teams.
Responsibilities
• Conduct occupational hygiene monitoring activities, including air, noise and surface sampling, in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Set up, calibrate, use and maintain occupational hygiene monitoring equipment to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
• Analyse monitoring results, maintain accurate records and prepare reports to support hazard identification and control strategies.
• Support compliance activities, audits and investigations by providing occupational hygiene data and technical input.
• Assist in the implementation and evaluation of hazard control measures in collaboration with WHSE and operational teams.
• Contribute to training, communication and awareness activities to improve understanding of occupational health risks.
About You
• Relevant tertiary qualification in occupational health, occupational hygiene, environmental science, chemistry or a related discipline.
• Experience conducting occupational hygiene monitoring or working in a related health and safety role within industrial environments.
• Competence in using and maintaining air, noise and hazardous substance monitoring equipment.
• Ability to interpret environmental data and communicate findings clearly through written reports and discussions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with workers and leaders at all levels.
• High attention to detail, integrity and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.

This role requires a current National Police Check. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining this clearance.
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
