About the Opportunity

The Procurement Manager Integrated Project Team (IPT) is responsible for leading and managing procurement activities across ASC’s SA IPT operations, ensuring alignment between project teams, boat teams, workshops, and key stakeholders. The role focuses on supply chain coordination, subcontractor management, performance oversight, and strategic stakeholder engagement to support successful project delivery.

This role will be based in Osborne, SA. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team, fostering collaboration across SA and WA-based stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional engagement with project, production, and contractor teams, ensuring seamless supplier coordination for boat movements and evolutions.
  • Oversee procurement lifecycle activities including demand planning, requisition and purchase order creation.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance ensuring contract compliance, material delivery, and correct objective quality evidence
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks impacting schedule adherence.
  • Act as a key representative for Supply Chain in high-level cross functional meetings communicating plans, progress, and risks to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to ensure alignment and support across all procurement activities.
  • Review and validate material reports using tools like Power BI to ensure project demands are met.
  • Manage subcontractor activities and performance for key Subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety, schedule and objective quality evidence.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between SA and WA IPT teams, maintaining a unified and effective working relationship.

 

 

About you

To be considered for this permanent full-time opportunity it is imperative that you display expertise across the following key areas:

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, law, supply chain or related are desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience in a relevant Supply Chain role in a relevant industry.
  • Experience in major defence contracts in a contractual and commercial capacity.
  • Practical proven experience in major project contract establishment and management including contract negotiations & contract law.
  • Highly developed project management skills to manage procurement projects to agreed timelines and budget restraints.
  • Has an expert working knowledge of applicable law relating to procurement framework e.g. insurance, legal process, intellectual property and warranties.
  • Has an excellent knowledge of procurement tools such as e-tendering and contract management systems.
  • Supports senior management in developing overall procurement strategy and procurement objectives, monitoring plans and objectives to track results.
  • Able to direct and manage senior personnel (internal and external) effectively.

 

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances.
