ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. About the Opportunity

We are seeking two motivated, assertive and detail-oriented Project Coordinators to support the delivery of our Early Careers programs, including Graduate, Apprenticeship, Undergraduate, and Traineeship pathways (1 x 12 month maternity leave contract & 1 x full time, permanent role).

Reporting to the Project Manager – Early Careers, you will play a key role in coordinating project activities across the full lifecycle—ensuring our programs are delivered efficiently, collaboratively, and to a high standard.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to workforce development in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

These two roles are full-time opportunities based at our Osborne site in SA.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and key documentation
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities and stakeholder engagement across multiple teams
  • Assist with bid and tender processes by coordinating inputs and timelines
  • Prepare and manage project reporting, including weekly and monthly updates
  • Track project progress, risks, issues, and actions to ensure timely delivery
  • Support budget tracking and maintain accurate financial records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice project delivery

You will work closely with technical teams, People & Culture, and broader program stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and delivery.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

You are a proactive and organised professional with a passion for project coordination and stakeholder collaboration.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in project coordination or administration within a structured environment
  • Understanding of project management principles and lifecycle phases
  • Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Desirable

  • Experience in Defence, government, heavy industry or a regulated environment  
  • Relevant qualification in Project Management, Business, or similar
  • Australian Government Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and a Baseline Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances.
