About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Lead – International Deployments, the Project Coordinator will support the delivery of international deployment cohort relating to International Placements with AUKUS Partners, specifically aligned to Nuclear Submarine Sustainment activities.

The Project Coordinator supports the planning, delivery and close‑out of minor projects and project components, including workforce skilling, capability upgrades and business improvement initiatives. The role involves coordinating international deployment activities, managing project risks and reporting, and liaising daily with internal stakeholders such as Global Mobility, People & Culture, Procurement and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Development and coordinate the project plans aligned to contract requirements, corporate objectives and business unit needs
  • Assist in the delivery of the International Deployment Plan, helping track activities and milestones against agreed timeframes
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, budgets and governance registers
  • Organise and support project meetings and workshops, including agendas, minutes, actions and follow‑up
  • Maintain project calendars and assist with day‑to‑day coordination of meetings and reviews
  • Support compliance with WHS, governance, legislative and organisational policies and procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by maintaining lessons learned and supporting process and documentation enhancements

About you 

  • Certificate in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field - highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in project administration or a similar role, preferably in a complex environment
  • Proficiency across MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in fast‑paced environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including correspondence and report writing
  • Effective problem‑solving skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks accurately
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal and external  stakeholders

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
