ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.
About the Opportunity
The Skills and Training Academy (STA) campus, designed with state and federal governments, will be the centre for delivering tailored education, training and skilling for the future submarine and naval shipbuilding workforce. The facility will include trade workshops, state-of-the-art classrooms and a large central submarine mock-up area. The STA will play a key role in a broader skilling and training ecosystem and is expected to be fully operational by 2028.
The Senior Project Manager – Skills and Training Academy (STA) campus leads the definition, planning and execution of the STA campus scope through the development and mobilisation phases whilst monitoring of the STA Mobilisation Plan. The role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with ASC’s submarine partner, BAE Systems, requiring flexibility in working hours to support international engagement.
