Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

  • Ensure systems comply with cyber security and governance frameworks such as PSPF, ISM, NIST, ISO 20001
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and third‑party vendors (e.g. Microsoft, HP)
  • Support incident response, problem management, and change activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, performance, and security

About you

You are a highly capable and organised senior systems professional (minimum 5 years experience in System Admin) who thrives in complex, high‑assurance environments. • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven experience managing critical incidents and competing priorities
  • A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset that can prioritise workload from an ever-changing list
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
  • SQL knowledge
  • Confluence, JIRA and cloud experience (is a bonus but not essential)
  • Previous experience working in the defence industry is preferred but not essential
  • Bachelors Computing degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting enterprise Microsoft domains, virtualisation, and storage environments
  • Strong experience with:
    • Microsoft Server technologies
