About the Opportunity
The WHS Lead, WA is responsible for the execution of WHS management systems to support delivery of the overall WHS strategy. This role is required to positively partner with a variety of stakeholders across the business to successfully deliver on WHS priorities.
In addition, the WHS Lead for WA will also lead and deploy the WHS Critical Risk and Emergency Management shared services function for the business across both WA and SA. This role will take overall responsibility for supporting ASC Operations with the execution of the WHS Critical Risk Management Framework required advice, governance and assurance that ensures effective operational deployment of our Operational Emergency Management Framework.
Responsibilities
The WHS Lead WA will need to work both strategical and tactical levels within their operational context in order to be able to understand and develop the big picture and will be proactive in resolving WHS situations while driving positive outcomes and ensuring compliance with Company policies, procedures and relevant Legislation.
You will partner with the broader Operations and WHSE function to collaborate on the delivery of overarching corporate objectives and will work closely with the WHS Operational team in both SA & WA to ensure that a portfolio approach to critical risk reduction effort is applied to drive consistent strategic outcomes aligned to ASC operational priorities.
Acting as an adviser, coach and facilitator in WHS related issues, you will effectively support the management of operational WHS decisions for WA. The role will facilitate building WHS leadership capability and develop plans to support execution of positive operational WHS outcomes.
The role will proactively support the business to achieve a positive people culture that values continuous improvement, with a particular focus on streamlining processes and procedures in line with the Company’s focus on ‘Lean’ thinking.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
