About the Opportunity
The role of the Workshop/Operator Trade Manager is to ensure the overall leadership of a safe, efficient, and effective multi-skilled high risk licensed Trade group to support the Maintenance Program for Collins Class Submarines and supporting functions in accordance with business objectives. Ensuring the Trade team are meeting legislative requirements in accordance with their scope of work. In relation to Workshop management, the execution of the weekly Submarine Plan Of the Week is an essential part of the role, as an accurate plan of work is required making expectations clear with the correct sequencing IAW the Schedule to supporting functions within the business. The Workshop /Operator Trade Manager is responsible to be actively involved in monitoring the budget that is related to workshops and maintenance activities by reviewing all bookings and ensure they are correctly assigned against tasking’s on a daily or weekly basis. Communication with onsite contractors ensuring the correct prioritisation of tasks is executed as per schedule requirements is also a responsibility of the role.
This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.

Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
