People and Culture Services Manager

ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. About the Opportunity

The People and Culture (P&C) Services Manager is responsible and accountable for ensuring we meet our workforce strategy by measuring and managing the performance of all people services related processes, their effectiveness and efficiency and ensuring it is delivered to the highest quality of service.

As our P&C Services Manager you will provide a structured and supportive environment, expert advice, solutions and direction in all things related to team member lifecycle; ensuring that the solutions, mechanisms and processes keep our teams focused and delivering our programs of work.

Responsibilities

  • Management of employee life cycle process and administration.
  • P&C Customer Service Delivery Model and metric reporting (SLA’s and KPI’s).
  • Cyclical P&C initiative support (Performance, Remuneration etc).
  • Regulatory compliance reporting and alignment.
  • Policy review, development and Implementation.
  • Influencing and providing strategic input on P&C initiatives/programs.
  • Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that provide a clear understanding of the P&C Services function

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in HR (or relevant discipline) or equivalent related work experience.
  • Proven understanding of HR Shared Services management and operations.
  • Complex problem-solving delivering customer-centric solutions
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate teams across multiple functions not directly within the reporting line.
  • Demonstrated ability in the promotion of a positive organisational culture.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, counselling and performance management skills.
  • Knowledge / prior experience in defence, industry or similar is highly desirable.

Eligibility 

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
