About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the SQC Team Lead is accountable to provide a Supplier Quality Control function ensuring material compliance for items procured by approved suppliers to Contract and/or ASC Purchase Order requirements. The role will contribute to providing world-class quality services and support to the MCS programs, ASC and the broader Submarine Enterprise.
The SQC Team Lead will undertake all elements of Supplier Quality Control ensuring ongoing material compliance and certification meet or exceed ASC requirements and relevant quality standards while supporting ASC to meet any relevant contractual deliverables. Working with the Quality Control Manager and the wider leadership team, the position is required to ensure that high quality, safe and efficient systems of work are in place to support a safely on time, right first time philosophy. The role is focused on ensuring ASC systems and processes are aligned across the MCS programs, the broader ASC Quality functions and programs and are maintaining recognised best practice in relation to Quality Management Systems.
The SQC Team Lead provides leadership to the SQC – Technical Officers to ensure team members are provided with direction and attainable yet challenging performance targets.

Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
